Nike Air Fomposite "Galaxy"

These are quite possibly the most beautiful pair of foamposites I've ever seen. I own 1 pair of foamposites and I'm not really a fan of them but this pair right here is speaking to my sole....I must have them now! The Nike Foamposite One "Galaxy" will release on February 24, 2012 and they will retail for $220. They also glow in the dark, I'm sure someone out there reading this cares about that.

BET.com Interviews Terry McFly About The Jordan Concords

I was interviewed yesterday evening by BET.com's Tony Anderson. BET wanted to hear my views about the Jordan Concord 11's, so I invited them to the Kith store with me in Soho to have this interview. Shoutout to Ronnie Fieg & Adam Zee for allowing me to use their venue and also hookin me up with that dope Kith jacket I was wearing during the interview. I would also like to give a few off camera shoutouts too Turcois Minek & my homeboy Dannie Fresh for all of their help during the filming process. Watch the full interview below and see a few photos that were taken during the filming.

Back For The Future - The Nike Air Mags

I haven't really had time to address the hype around the Nike Air Mags because I've been busy covering Fashion Week. I will take the time to do so now because with a name like Mcfly, I absolutely have to talk about my all time dream sneaker. I waited my whole life for these sneakers to be released in the real world. I received news about the Nike event rather late so I did not get to attend their Mercer Street unveiling, I will try to go see the shoes up close sometime this week during my down time. From what I've seen so far I think the shoes look very impressive but they would be worth the high price tag if they actually had the automatic laces. Come on Nike, how can you sell sneakers for $30,000 and not have the funds to develop this technology which has already been done by amateurs on youtube. I do love that they finally created the Air Mag and that they are helping the Michael J. Fox foundation with the profits but what I don't love is the hype around the shoe, it makes it harder and less cool for all of us that waited since the 90s for this shoe to come to life. Check out a few photos & videos of the Air Mags below:

For 22 years they have existed only in the year 2015 on Marty McFly’s feet.

Today they finally become a reality.

Famed Nike designer Tinker Hatfield and footwear innovator Tiffany Beers have returned to recreate the footwear legend. Based on an original movie prop used in Back to the Future Part II, the 2011 Nike MAG shoes have been rebuilt to the exact specifications of the originals.

It features an electroluminescent outsole, space-age materials and a rechargeable internal battery good for 3,000 hours. And while they are not recommended for playing sports, these highly limited shoes will very likely command attention wherever they are worn.

For 10 days, 150 pairs of 2011 Nike MAG shoes will be listed on eBay. The first of the auctions begins September 8 at 11:30 p.m. EDT. All net proceeds from the auction sales of the 2011 Nike MAG shoes will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

We need your help today to meet the $50-million Brin Wojcicki Challenge.

Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, and his wife Anne Wojcicki, co-founder of personal genetics company 23andMe, are matching up to $50 million in funds raised by the Foundation between now and December 31, 2012. Net proceeds from the 2011 MAG auctions on eBay will be matched, so please bid generously.

Together we’re going to help erase Parkinson’s disease from the space-time continuum.

Asics x Ronnie Fieg – ‘Mint Leaf” Gel Lyte III

Here's the latest Asics release from our friend Ronnie Fieg. This is a really nice colorway, there will definitely be a line for these.

Here's a description of the shoe design from Ronnie himself.

When I was younger I would take trips to Israel every summer to visit my grandparents in the hills of a small town called Zichron Yaakov. My grandfather along with a small crew built this amazing house from scratch and it was where my entire family would go every summer to be together. My entire family is obsessed with drinking hot or cold tea mixed with mint leaf so my grandmother grew a mint leaf garden in the back of the house. Every day my grandmother would send me to the garden to pick a few branches for their morning dose. I remember the first time I picked those branches, I was 7 years old and I became obsessed with the leaf and smell. My mother used to have to come and drag me off the soil because I would just lay there and chill while taking in this addicting scent. For years my family would joke around about it, they even nicknamed me ‘minty’. My grandmother told me she found pictures of me in the garden but I couldn’t get in time for this post, I will post them later this summer when I get to her house.

I used a very rich nubuck for this release. The nubuck leather needed to have a texture that could hold the vibrant mint green in a way smooth leather cannot. I used my favorite mesh for the toe box and collar, the same mesh I used on the Navy Aquas. The midsole is a very light grey and the outsole is a darker grey. I’ve been wearing my pair for a few months and they wear in nicely. Priced at $120, These ‘Mint Leaf’ Gel Lyte III’s will release this coming Friday, July 15th at 10am Est. with a limited run at the David Z. flagship (556 Broadway) as well as online at DavidZ.com. The release is first come first served so please do not call and ask for a pair to be put aside. They are sizes are unisex and range from 4.5-13. It has been a great run and this will be my last footwear release in David Z. Although I certainly hope the site won’t crash again for this release, I want to remind you that I am not in charge of the David Z website and I no longer work in the DZ offices. They will do their best with their servers and I will do my best to prepare them for this release. Good luck! Shots by Sean Munro.

Vans Vault Zapato Del Barco Lo-Pro LX Patent

Vans decided to add new materials to their classic designs, these are nice. The patent leather definitely makes them a bit more interesting. The three colorways are Black, Storm Blue, and Radiant Orchid.

Adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott "Leopard" Sneakers

Jeremy Scott releases his animal inspired sneaker for Spring Summer 2012. This shoe is interesting, I would honestly rock these without the tail. I hope the tail is detachable. The kids version reminds me of the teddy bear sneakers he released last season. I'm glad to see that he added a kids line because his designs are perfect for them.

First Look: Supra Skytop 3

As featured in the latest issue of Sneaker Freaker Magazine, here is a first look at Chad Muska's Supra Skytop III. Personally, I prefer the super high top of the Skytop 2, but it looks like they decided to take a different route with the 3. This shoe seems to be more sporty.
