The Amazing Spiderman 3D Official Trailer

When I saw the older trailer last year, I completely disagreed with the making of this film. However after seeing this official trailer, my views have changed. This looks to be the Spiderman movie we should've seen years ago, the movie that actually follows the Comic storyline. I am now looking forward to July 3rd, this movie appears to be AMAZING as the title says, check it out.

Movie Review: Chronicle

I've been waiting weeks to see the movie "Chronicle" and I finally got to see it last night. I'm somewhat disappointed, it's like being on a rollercoaster after it went over the hill and through the loops then it comes to a boring unsatisfying halt. The film started off great, I enjoyed watching the characters discover their abilities and deal with their personal situations. After about an hour, the movie starts to go dry and just gets stupid! It's almost as if they didn't really know how to end the film so they just started adding weird scenarios. Some aspects of the film don't mesh too well, for instance... one minute they're using blair witch 1st person style shooting and then all of sudden the film goes into hollywood Steven Spielberg style...it confuses you as the viewer because you don't know if it's suppose to be a recording of actual events or a hollywood backlot thriller.  I would like to talk more about my favorite characters but there's no way for me to do that without spoilers so I'll leave that aspect out of this review. Chronicle is worth going to see, you'll be entertained for the first half but you'll most likely hate it when you walk out the theater. I give Chronicle a 3 out of 5 stars, I'll be nice since my friend has a lead role.

Three high school friends gain superpowers after making an incredible discovery. Soon, though, they find their lives spinning out of control and their bond tested as they embrace their darker sides.

Movie Review: "Man On A Ledge"

Over the weekend, I went to see the new movie "Man On A Ledge". I did not want to see this movie initially because I felt that the title was too basic. I decided to practice what I preach and not judge a book by it's cover, and besides there was nothing else new playing this weekend at the box office so I didn't have many options to choose from. The movie starts with the man standing on the ledge, my first thoughts were "Welp, that's the whole movie right there, he just got on the ledge! Movie Over!" I got more than I bargained for, it was actually a very enjoyable film. I loved that the movie was set in my favorite city, New York City! The film also had lots of theatrics and techy scenes, kinda reminded me of the mission impossible films. Overall, Man on the Ledge is definitely worth going to the box office to see. I rate this movie 4 out of 5 stars, Terry McFly Approved!

An ex-cop turned con threatens to jump to his death from a Manhattan hotel rooftop. The nearest New York Police officer immediately responds to a screaming woman and calls dispatch. More Officers arrive with SWAT and tactical command along with fire-fighters. The police then dispatches a female police psychologist personally requested to talk him down from the ledge. However, things aren't as straightforward and clearcut as they appear to be.

Movie Review: Red Tails

I just left the premiere of Red Tails and it was far much better than I expected. The film has a great African American cast of actors, I love how the young veteran actors play commanding roles and the younger actors play rookie characters. Red Tails is more than just an entertaining film, it's a history lesson, which is why everyone is encouraged to go see it. The film has its moments where you can tell there was a lack of funding but it does not ruin the immersion, Red Tails is one of the first films that didn't put me to sleep. If you know me then you know I sleep in every movie, lol. I enjoyed every single dog fight of Red Tails, and I'm not just saying that because some of my friends had roles. Each character has their very own unique personality, one of the lesser known fan favorites will most definitely be Joe "Lightning" Little, portrayed by actor David Oyelowo. I also loved the styling of the wardrobe in this film, I'm now on the search for a vintage pilot hat with goggles as well as a leather jacket with sheep lining. Red Tails is definitely "Terry Mcfly Approved!", a must see film for the entire family. I will be going to see it again, WE FIGHT! WE FIGHT! WE FIGHT!

Red Tails is a film about a crew of African American pilots in the Tuskegee training program, having faced segregation while kept mostly on the ground during World War II, they are called into duty under the guidance of Col. A.J. Bullard (Terrance Howard).

The Muppets Movie Review

The new Muppets movie hit theaters today, I had the chance to check it out last night. I've been anticipating the release of this film for a very long time because I grew up as a fan of the muppets. I still love the Muppets in Manhattan film, this movie was by no means as great as that one. This new muppets movie was definitely not what I expected, the commercial didn't say anything about this being a full blown glee style musical. I liked the singing of the previous films because it was singing by the muppets, this film had too much human singing and it comes off as cheesy and corny. I did love seeing all the characters from my childhood back on the big screen, but the horrible singing and Mary Poppins style dancing killed that  joy immediately. I rate the Muppets movie a 3 out of 5 stars. Go see this film if you have a small child that enjoys musicals, there's a few laughs here and there as well.

Movie Review: "Breaking Dawn Part 1"

Over the weekend, I had the chance to see the new twilight movie "Breaking Dawn Part 1". I don't usually watch movies like this unless I'm on a date, I was actually pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The film had lots of awkward WTF moments but it still manages to keep you interested from beginning to end. The special effects in this movie are very impressive, kudos to the team responsible for that. I rate this movie a 5 out of 5 stars, it's a must see! If you're a guy please dont go see it alone, take your girl and you'll both have a great time. DO NOT immediately leave after the movie is over, there will be a small clip during the credits that hints to what will take place during the next film. I gotta admit, I went in to the theater expecting to not enjoy myself, but I left with anticipation for the sequel. Shoutouts to the AMC Dine in Theater in Edison,New Jersey for those amazing new Shrimp Tacos (pic below), definitely my new favorite movie food.

"Being Elmo" Trailer

Wow.... This documentary is pretty amazing, the trailer alone is amazing. This is the untold story of Kevin Clash, the creator of Elmo. This documentary offers a behind the scenes look at the Puppeteer world many of us don't usually get to see. Most of us grew up as kids watching these famous characters come to life, so the happiness in the children's eyes when they see Elmo come to life is definitely a feeling we should all be able to flashback and relate to. The film hits theaters on October 21st, 2011.

Movie Trailer: Winnie The Pooh

He's Back!!! When I first saw that they were making a new Winnie the Pooh film, I was kind of upset because I thought it was gonna get the same real world treatment as the other cartoons of my childhood such as Scooby-Doo and Alvin & the Chipmunks. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Disney decided to keep it old school with this new Pooh film. It's in High Definition and its in the old animation form so the children of today can enjoy it just as we did in the past years. I miss these characters and it definitely looks like something worth going to see, check out the trailer below.

Cast: Jim Cummings, Craig Ferguson, Tom Kenny, Travis Oates, Bud Luckey

Walt Disney Animation Studios returns to the Hundred Acre Wood with "Winnie the Pooh," the first big-screen Pooh adventure from Disney animation in more than 35 years. With the charm, wit and whimsy of the original featurettes, this all-new movie reunites audiences with the philosophical "bear of very little brain" and friends Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Kanga, Roo—and last, but certainly not least, Eeyore, who has lost his tail. "Well a tail is either there or it isn't there," said Pooh. "And yours isn't... there." Owl sends the whole gang on a wild quest to save Christopher Robin from an imaginary culprit. It turns out to be a very busy day for a bear who simply set out to find some hunny. Inspired by five stories from A.A. Milne's books in Disney's classic, hand-drawn art style, "Winnie the Pooh" hits theaters July 15, 2011.

Movie Review: Super 8

I was invited by Paramount Pictures to attend a screening of  Super 8 ( produced by Steven Spielberg & written/directed by J.J. Abrams) before it hits theaters this friday. I was curious to know what this film was about because the trailers are very confusing. I will try to keep this review as spoiler free as possible. The film is basically about a boy and his friends with their Super 8 camera, it reminded me of a modern day sci-fi version of the "Sandlot". The cinematics in this film are simply amazing. The moment you see the disaster, you will know that you're watching a Steven Spielberg film because the visuals are astonishing. The film features alot of dry humor that only nerds will enjoy, but there are a few laughs here and there for the regular folks. The cast was pretty good as well.

Now on to where the movie lacks, the story was pretty lame. Its like riding a rollercoaster, you hit all the hills and loops and then the ride dies out and you're bored. Overall, I would say wait for this one to hit Netflix or On Demand. It's a decent film but nothing worth rushing to see, I rate this film a 3 out of 5 stars and that's only because the special effects and cast was on point. I thank Paramount Pictures for inviting me, I had a great time.

AMC Dine-In Theater Review

This weekend, I finally had the opportunity to check out the new AMC Dine in Theater, I was completely blown away by this experience. When you first walk in, its like a 5 star hotel lobby. There's a bar, couches, and flat screens all over the place broadcasting the sports games. The tickets are sold through digital machines, the staff is completely dedicated to servicing the customers.

The moment I walked into the theater was when the true experience began. The suite had reserved seating, there was a woman in there to escort you to your seat with complimentary gourmet popcorn. The rows were stadium seats separated by a 4 foot wall so you couldn't see who was below or even behind you. The seats were leather with an electronic recliner and food tray. The menus, ketchup, and utensils were all directly next to your seat with a button to call the waiter.

I was impressed by the food selection, it was actually REAL food prepared by a chef. I ordered a milkshake with mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and even that simple combination was remarkable. The movie I watched was "The Adjustment Bureau", I can't tell you much about the movie because I spent most of my time sleeping in that comfy recliner lol. This trip was more about the experience and not the movie so its definitely worth all the money. I would recommend everyone go experience this, I've posted a few locations below.

NOTE:  My Review was from the "Cinema Suites" experience, not the "Fork & Dine"

New Movie: The Green Lantern

After years of the fake trailers deceiving viewers, we finally have the actual Green Lantern movie trailer for the film that releases in Summer 2011, I'm a bit disappointed after viewing this because the fake trailers were better lol. I don't like that they cast a comedian for such an important part. I hope this movie is good comic adaptation because I am a fan of the Green Lantern and I want to see the series live on the big screen.

And if your curious to see the fake trailer which is a fan-made trailer from last year then watch it below, You be the judge and tell me if it looks better to you. The top video is the real trailer and the video below is the fake trailer

Movie: "Night Catches Us"

Here's a very interesting film I came across while browsing the web. The film stars Kerry Washington and Anthony Mackie. Its set in 1976, complex political and emotional forces are set in motion when a young man (Anthony Mackie) returns to the race-torn Philadelphia neighborhood where he grew up during the Black Power movement. The film hit theaters on Dec. 3rd but its also available on iTunes, On Demand, Xbox Live, & PS Network. I look forward to viewing this film, take a look at the trailer below.

Also here's an interesting mini feature trailer for you to get a more in depth look at the film
