MCM Heritage Collection F/W 2012

For those of you familiar with MCM, they're still producing products in that classic leather that's been used to build their brand. Here is the Fall/Winter 2012 Heritage line, modern pieces with classic flair. All of these bags are produced in Italy and the hardware is plated in 24 karat gold.

MCM allowed me to check out their entire collection from next season, I was thoroughly impressed with this Men's F/W 2012 collection. The backpacks and weekenders are my favorites. I love the use of colored leathers and studs, it's the perfect product for the fashionably minded male consumer.

MCM Private NYFW Fall/Winter 2012 Showcase

During New York Fashion Week, MCM invited me out to Soho for an appointment only viewing of their latest collection and the upcoming collection for next season. This was a one on one type of event, usually only experienced by buyers.. I felt honored that they would care enough about my opinion to have me and my viewers be apart of something so intimate and prestigious. I loved everything MCM had to show me, I have a new found respect for the brand. My favorite pieces overall were the Men's Stark backpack and the Honshu Tantris Weekender. (The bags I'm holding in the photos) To top it all off, They gave me a complimentary MCM umbrella, ink pen, calender, notepad, and lookbook. MCM Everything!!!!! This post will also be followed by two more posts highlighting the upcoming Men's collection and the Women's collection in detail. The pieces I'm wearing in the photos are from the upcoming collection.

Rachel Roy Fall 2012 Fashion Presentation Recap

Day 5: I was invited to the view Rachel Roy's latest collection. I felt honored to be invited to her show without even requesting an invite, it shows that all my hard work is gradually paying off. Rachel Roy always brings out the fashion industry elites so I was already expecting to see a few familiar faces and a lot of reporters. The collection itself looked great, Rachel used alot of earth tones, I loved the details on each piece. The show was held in the Alice Tully Hall of the Lincoln Center. Katya Leonovich Fall 2012 Fashion Show Recap

Day 2 of NYFW: While lounging at the Lincoln Center, I randomly walked into the Katya Leonvich presentation with a fellow blogger that I met at a mixer event the other night. I don't really know much about this designer but after viewing her collection I will definitely do some research. The Katya Leonvich collection was amazing, I really like the creativity of her show.... they did a lot with such a small room to work with. A friend of mines said that what she liked most about the show was the fact that she could actually touch and feel the pieces worn by the models unlike the traditional show where you watch from afar. Nautica Men's Fall 2012 Fashion Show Recap

On Day 2 of Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, Nautica invited me to view their Fall 2012 Menswear Collection. The show took place across the street from the Lincoln Center at Ed's Chowder House, which is a seafood restaurant..how fitting. I was shocked and amazed when I entered the venue, it was much more than your ordinary fashion show, it was like a party/mixer/celebration. We were greeted at the door with a coat check and complimentary cocktails while viewing the collection. There was also a DJ on hand playing music the entire time. Check out the photos I captured on my iPhone below, GREAT JOB NAUTICA! I'm impressed! ....I'm not easily pleased , by the way.

Weekend Event: Simply Intricate Fashion Show

The name says it all simple silhouettes with Intricate details for The young vibrant confident woman. The sultry chic aesthetic of the brand intends to invoke chemistry and versatility.

Holding true To its unconventional demeanor Simply Intricate is taking New York Fashion Week to the Streets and will be occupying the streets of NYC as its runway . A group of 10 high fashion models will occupy the sidewalks in a sultry uniformed walk, dressed in the Simply Intricate "seductive crush" collection. Patrons who are not invited to Mercedes Benz Fashion week but still appreciate fashion will be able to enjoy a real life runway extravaganza . The label will showcase in the following locations Soho, Meat Packing District, 5th Avenue, Lincoln center , Madison Ave.

Lanvin S/S 2012 Ad Campaign

I chose to post this video for two reasons, one of those reasons of course being fashion, but the other reason is the unique soundtrack of the video. This Lanvin ad features the debut single from Pharell's latest artist Maxine Ashley, the track is titled "Cookie Man". Maxine Ashley is an 18 year old from the Bronx that Pharell discovered on youtube. Check out this Lanvin ad and feel free to post your thoughts on the clothing or the music.

David Beckham For H&M Launch Event

Last night, David Beckham celebrated his new bodywear collection for H&M in London. The event was an in-store launch, followed by a cocktail party at a pop-up gentleman´s club created especially for the occasion.

H&M Design Award 2012 Winner

The grand prize winner of the H&M Design Award 2012 has been announced:

The show was filmed today at Stockholm's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week FW12, February1st 2012.

H&M Design Award: The Six Finalists

All six national winners are now announced for the H&M Design Award 2012! Jury members are Hilary Alexander, Fashion journalist; Christopher Kane, Designer; Susie Lau, Fashion blogger; Kristopher Arden Houser, Fashion journalist; Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design H&M; and Margareta van den Bosch, Creative advisor H&M.

On Feb 1st, the winner of H&M Design Award is announced at Stockholm Fashion Week.
There will be a live stream at 1.30 pm at designaward2012.hm.com

Burberry Prorsum Menswear A/W 2012

Footage from the Burberry Prorsum Menswear Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, which was filmed yesterday in Milan. This is a very impressive collection! I love the rain effect, it really gives you an idea of what Burberry is all about. Great show with a great collection.

H&M Design Award Announcement

This new prize brings together graduates from major design colleges around Europe to encourage their future fashion careers, as well as to inspire the upcoming generations of designers.

Graduates from fourteen colleges in six countries will compete for the prize, with the winning collection being shown at Stockholm's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on February 1st 2012, along with a prize of €50,000.

From January 13th, everyone with an interest in fashion can follow the awards process online through a series of films at designaward2012.hm.com. It will feature behind the scenes footage of the colleges and portraits of the designers, as well as the jury sessions and live streaming of the winner's show on February 1st.
